The 18-day tour is customized for both individuals and small group tours, family holidays in Vietnam. The multi activity takes you to all Vietnam major travel destinations including Vietnam’s capital Hanoi, Mai Chau, Kenh Ga village, Hoa Lu, Tam Coc, Can Cau market, Bac ha market, Sapa, Halong bay, Hue, Da Nang, Hoian, Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon), Tay Ninh, Cu chi tunnels and the Mekong Delta. Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau.

Depart Hanoi for Hoa Binh province and up then to Mai Chau valley. This scenic drive takes around four hours. Along the way we pass fields of tapioca and sugar cane as well as rice paddies. Upon arriving in Mai Chau valley, we take a short walk around Lac & Poom Coong villages to have the first sights of the White Thai community culture.

In the evening, assist to the traditional music and dance show which is performed by The Thai young girls and boys. They all come from this village. Try also some rice alcohol made of traditional plants and local sticky rice. Overnight at stilt-house.

Day 2: Hiking Mai Chau valley.

Breakfast at the Thai stilt house then we leave the village for a full day hiking around. We will pass many different Thai hamlets, through rice fields, hill sides…Stop sometimes to visit local houses and talk with local people. And one of the highlight on this walk is to experience the everyday life and culture white Thai people and stay in their traditional house on stilts as honoured guests.

Day 3: Mai Chau – Kenh Ga village – Hoa Lu – Ninh Binh.


Breakfast then we say good bye to the warm-hearted Thai people. Depart for Ninhbinh. We will arrive at Kenh Ga around noon.

Have your lunch in a local restaurant and try some specialty of the region. After lunch, the car will drive you to Kenh Ga floating village where you will take the boat trip along the beautiful river. Set on the banks of the Hoang Long River, Kenh Ga is a remarkable place, not only because it is surrounded by the same massive rocks that dominate Hoa Lu, but also because for most of the year the entire community lives on the water itself. The floating village of Kenh Ga receives relatively few visitors compared to nearby Hoa Lu and the peoples' aquatic way of life has changed little over the centuries.

After the boat trip, continue our journey to Ninhbinh town where we stop for overnight.

Day 4: Tam Coc sampan cruise tour. Return Hanoi. Overnight train to Lao Cai.

The river trip in Tam coc is wonderful for photo hunters, especially when local people come to harvest the water rice planted along the river, or when they transplant some seedling for the next crops. The tourists often compare the place with Guilin - China, or more closely, to the limestone islets of Halong Bay in the Tonkin Gulf for their similar geological structures and shapes. Thus Tam Coc is also called Halong-Bay-On-Land.

We move on to Tam Coc for a 3-hour boat trip along the Boi river. Along the way we will visit caves and ancient temples. After lunch we can make a visit Bich Dong Pagodas before making our way back to Hanoi.

After dinner (at your own account), transfer to Hanoi railway station to take the night train to Laocai. Overnight on the train.

Day 5: Arrive Laocai. Travel to Can Cau. Visit Can Cau market. Return Bac Ha town.

The train arrive Laocai station early morning. You will be meet by another Lotussia local guide and driver. After having breakfast in town, start the ride up to Can Cau market. The ride is relatively flat from Lao Cai to Bao Nhai, where you will be taken through rural area. Situated in the mountains in border area, 20 km from Bac Ha, Can Cau is a small, but very colorful market. Opening only on Saturdays, it always delivers a very photogenic display of Flower Hmong, Black Zao, Phu La ethnic costumes. Chinese people also come for trading. After spending the whole morning exploring the market, you will leave the market for Bac Ha town for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will take a walk to Ban Pho village of Nung and Flower Hmong, which locate in a small valley. The villagers grow vegetables and fruit trees. One of the most famous fruit of the area is plum. You will be able to visit a local house, where you might have chance to taste a cup of corn wine, another famous product of the village. You will go back to hotel late in the afternoon.

Overnight in Bac Ha.

Day 6: Visit Bac Ha market. Travel to Sapa.

After having a morning coffee, you take a short walk to visit the old castle of the former Hmong King. From there you can have a view over the town. You will then visit the huge market of Bac Ha with its colorful array of ethnic minority people such as Flower Hmong, Phu La, Black Dao, Tay, Nung who gather to buy and sell. After spending the whole morning exploring the market, your lunch will be served in a local restaurant.

After lunch, you drive downhill for about half an hour. You will then start a short walk to Trung Do village, which belongs to the Tay minority. Here you can stop by a traditional Tay house for a cup of tea before you get on a boat. You will have a cruise upstream the Chay River to experience the picturesque scenes and the magnificent sight of a beautiful cave. The boat ride ends at Coc Ly, where you get on the car for the journey to Sapa.

Overnight in Sapa.

Day 7: Trekking Sapa villages.

The day commences with a jeep ride to the trekking route. The trek starts by walking through the incredibly scenic “Ban Ho” valley. Here you will have the opportunity to visit and explore the wooden houses, which traditionally belong to the Tay ethnic minority. You will then continue to walk to Thanh Phu village where you stop for lunch in a local house.

After lunchtime, you head to Sin Chai village of Red Dao minority where the night will be spent in bamboo huts. The wonderful hospitable atmosphere of the Red Dao will attract you.

Day 8: Continue trekking Sapa villages.

Today’s trek takes you through several villages where you will be able to meet Tay, Hmong and Xa Pho ethnic minorities. You will have time to photograph the beautiful rice paddy terraces and the surrounding mountain. On the way you will visit a local school. Your lunch will be prepared and served in a local house.

In the afternoon, you head back to Thanh Phu village of Tay minority. Here you will spend the night. You can take a walk to explore local daily life while your dinner will be served with Vietnamese dishes.

Day 9: Trekking. Return Sapa town. Travel to Lao Cai. Overnight train back to Hanoi.


On the last day of the trek you will cross several suspension bridges and trek through lush rice paddy fields and stunning scenery. You have a unique opportunity to meet Xa Pho minority in My Son village, one of the smallest group ethnic living in Northern Viet Nam. They always maintain their unique costume and nomadic life. You trek uphill to Nam Toong village of Red Dao minority, where you have lunch in a local school.

In the afternoon, your trek will be firstly downhill to Ban Ho village where you will have time for a swim in the river. You will then climb toward Su Pan. The car will meet you there and take you then to Laocai railways station for the night train back to hanoi. Overnight on the train.

Day 10: Arrive Hanoi. Travel to Halong bay. Boat cruise.

Arrive in Hanoi in the early morning, transfer to a local restaurant for early breakfast then depart to Halong. Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong and board the Bai Tho traditional sailing junk (or similar junk). Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. Visit the recently discovered Surprise Grotto with its great views, and on the next island see the yawning mouth of Bo Nau Cave. Alternatively journey to Dau Go Cave and nearby see the famous stalagmites and stalactites of Thien Cung Cave. Enjoy a swim in the emerald waters of Halong Bay at any spot that you wish to visit or take a kayaking trip to explore the Bay. Watch the sun set over the bay whilst enjoying a delicious dinner. Overnight on board junk.

Day 11: Halong bay - Hanoi

Wake up to fresh coffee and a wholesome breakfast before cruising back to Halong City. En route the junk weaves through strange-shaped rock formations that invite comparisons from fighting cocks to dragons. After another wonderful fresh seafood lunch (early) on board disembark at the dock at Halong City. Transfer back to Hanoi.

Enjoy a short cyclo excursion through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sales at these places. In the evening, attend to the water puppet whow, one of famous Vietnamese traditional art. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 12: Fly to Hue. Hue city tour.

Breakfast at hotel then transfer to Noibai airport for your flight to Hue. Flight number???. Dpt. At ?h. HAN-HUI.

You will be greeted at Hue airport by another Lotussia guide and driver and transfered to the hotel in town.

Starting visiting Hue by taking the boat trip on Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda considered as Royal Pagoda of the Nguyen Dynasty and Imperial Citadel.

In the afternoon, visit Mausoleums of Tu Duc or the one of Khai Dinh King. Visit a typical garden-house in Hue (Hue has another name as "city of garden"). Overnight at hotel.

Day 13: Continue visiting Hue. Travel to Hoian.


Breakfast at hotel. Depart for Lang Co, a small village of fishermen. Taking photograph from Hai Van Pass (The pass of Sea and Cloud). Visit Cham Museum in Danang. Free lunch en route.

You will arrive in Hoian in the afternoon. Free dinner and overnight in Hoian.

Day 14: Tour of Hoian ancient town.

Start the visit of this charming small town, first commercial center in Vietnam since the 15th century, with more than 800 classified buildings : Japanese Covered Bridge, Tan Ky Old house, Assembly Hall Chinese. Phuc Kien Pagoda, Hoian Museum and Market. After lunch, continue the visit. In the evening, walk on the river Thu Bon in sunset. Free diner in town. Overnight at hotel.

Day 15: Travel to Da Nang. Fly to Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon). City tour.

After breakfast, transfer to Danang airport for the morning flight to Saigon. Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh city airport, you will be meet by another Lotussia local guide and driver and transferred to city center.

Start the tour with Ho Chi Minh City highlights including the Post Office, cathedral, Reunification palace, centre town, then continuation towards Cholon, visit Thien Hau temple, Binh Tay market. Free lunch in town.

Day 16: Day trip to Tay Ninh & Cu Chi Tunnels.

Breakfast at hotel. Enjoy a morning drive through typical southern Vietnamese countryside to Tay Ninh Province in the west of Vietnam. At Tay Ninh visit the incredible Cao Dai Great Temple, with architecture that could have come straight from a Walt Disney fantasy and where all the major faiths of the world blend together in a unique religious cocktail. After lunch in a local restaurant visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. Overnight in Saigon

Day 17: Travel to the Mekong Delta (Saigon – Vinh Long – Can Tho).

Breakfast at hotel. Then drive to Cai Be. Upon arrial in Caibe, we take a boat trip to visit Cai Be floating market, fruits and orchards. Stop for walking on the village roads to visit the Rice Paper workshop, Pop Corn and Rice workshop. Lunh is in a farmer’s house at the fruit or bonsai garden. Procceed to Vinh Long town by boat then transfer to Cantho.

Day 18: Travel back Ho Chi Minh city.

Depart Can Tho to Cai Rang, take a boat trip to Cai Rang floating market. You also have the opportunity to stop by an island to watch local villagers producing instand rice noodles, aboat builder yard and rice – husking. Drive back to Saigon.

Day 3: Maichau – Hanoi. Overnight train to Laocai.

Breakfast will be provided in a Thai stilt house. Then we leave the village for a half day walking around. We will pass many different Thai hamlets, through rice fields, hill sides…We will stop by some local houses to talk with local people to understand their customs and culture.

After lunch, we will take our journey back to Hanoi.

Enjoy one-hour body massage in one of the most luxury spa salon in town before take the overnight train to Lao Cai.

Day 4: Arrive Lao Cai. Travel to Cao Son. Visit Cao son market. Trek Cao Son villages.


Arrive in Lao Cai Railway station early this morning. You will be welcome by Lotussia local guide, driver then transferred to a local restaurant in Lao Cai city for breakfast and short rest before proceeding to Cao Son region. Stop en route for photos.

You will join the Cao Son trekking stream of people from Lung Khau Nhin and some nearby villages heading to Cao Son. Free to discover the market with our tour guide. Heading for the lunch in Cao Son Ecolodge. In the afternoon, visit the primitive forest in La Pan Tan commune. Back to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Travel to Sapa. Hiking Sapa villages.

After breakfast, transfer to Sapa. We will arrive in Sapa around noon. Check-in hotel and have your lunch in a local restaurant in town.

In the afternoon, there will be a walking tour to a H’mong hill tribe village of Ma Tra (or Cat Cat). As we walk to the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa, we will meet some of the local people on their way to and from Sapa. Here we have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with the families that live in the area.

Overnight  in Sapa.

Day 6: Continue trekking Sapa. Travel to Lao Cai. Overnight train back to Hanoi.

After breakfast, we will travel by car downhill to Mong Sen where we start a dirt trail through rice fields and villages. Enjoy spectacular view along the way.

Your picnic lunch will be provided on spot.

After lunch, we continue our trek downhill towards Taphin village inhabited by Red Dao and Black Hmong minorities. These are two largest ethnic groups living in Sapa area. Stop by some house to meet local people and talk with them to understand their culture, customs and traditions. Late afternoon, we will trek back to to main road to get on our vehicle for the journey to Laocai railways station.

Day use will be provided in a standard hotel before taking the overnight train back to Hanoi.

Arrive in Hanoi early this morning, transfer to the Morning Flower Market for a short visit before departing to Halong Bay.

The 8-day tour is arranged in the northern Vietnam taking you to some of the most popular travel places including Mai Chau, Tam Coc and Halong bay. The tour begins with a car transfer from Hanoi to Mai Chau where you spend the first 3 day trekking through local hilltribe villages such as Hang Kia, Hin Pen, Cun Pheo, Xam Khoe, Van Mai. Itinerary:

Day 1: Hanoi - Hoa Binh - Mai Chau - Hang Kia

You will be met up with Lotussia Travel team and transferred to Mai Chau, through picturesque scenery with beautiful views of the mountains along the way. On arrival in Na Bai at 10h 30 start 1-hour trek to Xa Linh before having lunch. Afternoon continue 4-hour trek to Hang Kia, stop en route for seeing the H'Mong hill-tribe people. Overnight at Hang Kia village.

Day 2: Hang Kia - Hin Pen - Cun Pheo

In early morning, start to trek mountain sides to Hin Pen. The trekking is quite adventurous at times with some steep uphill and downhill walking, but the views are incredible, However some physical preparation will enable you to fully appreciate today's trek. Overnight at Cun Pheo village.

Day 3: Cun pheo - Xam khoe - Van Mai

The spectacular countryside and simple lifestyle of the Thai people are a highlight of Mai Chau valley although conditions are very basic. Lunch in Xam Khoe. In the afternoon trek to Van Mai. En route to Van Mai you have the chance to meet local people, all friendly and welcoming. Overnight at Van Mai village.

Day 4: Van Mai - Cuc Phuong

This morning we spend 2 hours walking out of Mai Chau Valley before we take a 70 km drive to Cuc Phuong National Park. On arrival, we enjoy a guided visit to Cuc Phuong Museum and Zoo garden. Overnight in Cuc Phuong.

Day 5: Cuc Phuong trek

Continue venturing into the national park of Cuc Phuong. A 6-hour trek with picnic lunch en route gives tourists a great opportunity to explore one of Vietnam most beautiful primeval forests and also see the Muong hill-tribe people. Overnight at a Muong village.

Day 6: Cuc Phuong - Ninh Binh

Upon leaving Cuc Phuong National Park we are transferred by car to Tam Coc. A boat trip on a river through “ Ha Long inland” - the quiet and peaceful landscape of rice fields surrounded by limestone formations to visit three grottoes of Tam Coc. Afternoon visit Non Nuoc Pagoda in Ninh Binh. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 7: Ninh Binh - Ha Long

A long day traveling through the rich farming land of the Red River Delta to Ha Long Bay but you can make stops as you please, to stretch your legs and visit many farmers at work. Overnight in Ha Long.

Day 8: Ha Long - Ha Noi

A 5-hour boat trip to visit Ha Long Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. This picturesque “Dragon descending to the sea” Bay has 1,969 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. During the boat trip, visit of a grotto and seafood lunch on board. Drive back to Ha Noi. Trip ends.

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau - Puluong.Trek Pu Luong Nature Reserve (Hang village).

After breakfast, depart for Pu Luong Nature Reserve. This scenic drive takes around four hours. Along the way we pass fields of tapioca and sugar cane as well as rice paddies. Following lunch in Poom Coong village we drive further into the reserve where we begin our trek. We trek for approximately three hours before arriving at the Thai village of Hang.

We spend the night with a local Thai family who will be our host in a traditional house on stilts. Whilst enjoying their hospitality we will discover a little more about their lives and culture.

Day 2: Continue trekking Pu Luong (Hang village - Kho Muong village).

Today we will walk for about six hours. Along the way we pass through several Thai villages and hamlets before arriving at the village of Kho Muong. As the name suggests this is a Muong minority village and we will be their guests for the night.

Day 3: Continue trekking Puluong. Travel to Tam Coc, Ninh Binh.

This morning we set out from Kho Muong and trek for roughly three hours and a half before arriving in Pho Doan townlet where your lunch will be provided in a local house.

After breakfast, we will take a motorbike-taxi to La Han ferry where our car will be waiting for us for our journey to Tam Coc (“Halong bay in-land”).

Dinner & overnight in Tamcoc.

Day 4: Tam Coc sampan cruise tour. Travel back to Hanoi.
After breakfast, take a two-hour boat trip along the Boi river. The 7-day tour takes you to the less travel places in the north-western Vietnam. Begin the tour in Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital and travel through Mai Chau village, Son La, Tuan Giao, Dien Bien Phu, Lai Chau, Tam Duong, Sapa. You also enjoy a full day hike in Sapa villages before taking the overnight train to get back to Hanoi. If you arrive in Tam Duong on Saturday, you will have the opportunity to visit the Tam Duong market on Sunday morning. The market is open only once a week. Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau. Overnight in Maichau.

You will be met up by Lotussia local guide and driver at your hotel in Hanoi and head west towards Hoa Binh province. Following lunch in a White Thai village in Mai Chau valley we spend the afternoon walking through the various ethnic minority villages in this area. In the evening, enjoy the traditional music and dance shoe which will be performed by local villagers. Overnight in Mai Chau.

Day 2: Mai Chau - Son La. Overnight in Sonla.

After breakfast served by the Thai people under their house-on-stilts, we leave Mai Chau making our way west to Son La. Upon our arrival in Son La late in the afternoon we check into our local guesthouse where we spend the night. Son La is located in a scenic valley, inhabited mostly by the Thai, the Muong and the H'mong minority people. This area is historically important for its involvement in the Vietnamese struggle for independence from France during the first half the 20th century. Overnight in Sonla.

Day 3: Son La - Dien Bien Phu. Overnight in Dien Bien Phu.

Following breakfast we will visit the remains of former French prison and enjoy a dip in the local hot- springs. We then board our vehicle for the drive to Dien Bien Phu around 170 km away. It is a 7-hour journey on rough roads, but it is worth while as the scenery is dramatic. We will encounter many ethnic minority people along the way. In the late afternoon we arrive in Dien Bien town and check into our guesthouse for the night. Overnight in Dien Bien Phu.

Day 4: Dien Bien Phu – Lai Chau. Overnight in Lai Chau.

After breakfast this morning we will visit some war sites in Dien Bien including Dien Bien Phu museum, A1 Hill, De Castries Commandment Post and set out on our drive to Lai Chau, around 7 hours away. This is in quite a remote area and as a result some of the roads will be fairly rough and uneven. Yet this is to our advantage as there will be fewer tourists along the way to spoil our views of the beautiful and dramatic scenery which we will encounter along the way. Overnight in Laichau.

Day 5: Lai Chau – Tam Duong Sunday Market – Sapa. Overnight in Sapa.


From Lai Chau we drive east to Sapa, which is a five-hour drive. We will stop on the road to visit Tam Duong Sunday market which is one of the most colorful markets in Vietnam. The local hill tribe ethnic minority come from different surrounding area to the market where they will sell their homemade handicraft, agricultural products such as vegetable, fruits and also pork, ducks, chickens…

After visiting the market, we continue our drive to Sapa. As the roads become even rougher, the more deserted they get. But the rougher they get, the better the scenery becomes. The beautiful hill station of Sapa has the best-of-both worlds, breath-taking scenery and modern-day comforts. In the afternoon, we will have half day walking excursion to the Red Dzao village. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 6: Sapa full day trekking. Sapa – Laocai – Hanoi. Overnight on the train.


Today we start our trek with a five to six hour trek to villages of Cat Cat, Ta Van and Cau May situated in idyllic valleys, which are covered with a patchwork of rice terraces. Cat Cat is home to the H’mong people who originated from China, where they emigrated from about 300 years ago. The H’mong people are easily recognizable due to their dark clothing, usually blue or black. The dye is fashioned from the indigo or hemp plant that is native to the area. H’mong women wear long aprons with embroidered waistcoats and have their hair rolled up into a turban-like hat, whilst the men wear a black skullcap, long waistcoat and loose trousers.

In the late afternoon, we will be picked up again by our car and transferred to Lao Cai Railways Station four our journey back to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.

Day 7: Arrival in Hanoi.

Upon your arrival in Hanoi Railways Station, you will be welcome by our local driver and transferred to your hotel in Hanoi or directly to the airport for your onward flight. End tour.

The 6-day tour includes the most important travel highlights of the northern Vietnam are Sapa and Halong bay. Take the overnight train to Lao Cai, travel to Sapa where you enjoy the 3-day hiking through terraced rice fields, ethnic villages, mountain hill sides. Sharing the house with family at night (homestay) for the real life experience. You will meet up with different ethnic groups including H’mong, Red dzao, tay, Giay, Xa Pho. They still keep their customs and traditions. The overnight cruise to Halong bay is more relaxing as you spend most of your time on board junk. Optional water sports are available including sea canoing, scuba diving.



Day 1: Overnight train to Lao Cai.

Take the night train to Lao Cai. Departure at around 20h30. Overnight on the train.

Day 2: Arrival in Laocai Railway Station. Transfer to Sapa. Sapa trekking.

Upon your arrival in Lao Cai Railway Station early in the morning, you will be greeted by another Lotussia Travel local guide and driver and transferred uphill to Sapa. Your breakfast will be provided at a local restaurant in town. Then, you will travel by car to Su Pan Hmong village from where you will begin walking downhill through the breathtaking scenery. On the way you will pass through the Ban Ho village where you will be able to witness the stunning views of the valley and rice paddy terraces. You will have the opportunity to explore the Ban Ho village of Tay minority before crossing the suspension bridge over the river. The walk then continues uphill to the Red Dao minority village of Nam Toong where your lunch will be provided.

After lunch, you will descend to a beautiful valley inhabited by Xa Pho ethnic minority, one of the smallest ethnic group in Northern Vietnam. From there you take a short walk to Thanh Phu where you will spend the night in traditional house of the Tay.

Day 3: Continue trekking Sapa.

Today’s trek will be relatively short and soft. Once leaving Thanh Phu village, you will follow the trekking route built in the bottom of the valley, which offers the best view to the surrounding mountains. Stop at a nice spot for lunch.

After lunchtime, you continue the walk toward Sin Chai Red Dzao village where the night will be spent in bamboo huts.

Day 4:   Continue Sapa trek. Travel to Lao Cai. Overnight train back to Hanoi.

After good nights sleep in bamboo hut, you wake up for an early breakfast and repack your luggage for the long trek heading towards Lao Cai. Once you leave Sin Chai, the trip takes you into a fabulously mountainous area, the most remote part of Sapa. Red Dao ethnic minority inhabits the entire area. Your lunch will be provided on spot. After lunch, your trek will be mostly downhill. After about half an hour, you will have an opportunity to enjoy one of the most beautiful views of days over a green valley lying along the Red River. You eventually arrive in Ta Thang village of Tay minority. Here you will be transferred by car to Lao Cai.

Day 5:   Arrival in Hanoi. Travel to Halong Bay. Boat cruise. Kayaking.

 Arrive in Hanoi in the early morning, transfer to a local restaurant for early breakfast then depart to Halong. Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life.

Arrive in Halong around noon and board the Bai Tho traditional sailing junk (or Bhaya junk). Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. Visit the recently discovered Surprise Grotto with its great views, and on the next island see the yawning mouth of Bo Nau Cave. Alternatively journey to Dau Go Cave and nearby see the famous stalagmites and stalactites of Thien Cung Cave. Take a kayaking trip to explore the Bay. Watch the sun set over the bay whilst enjoying a delicious dinner. Overnight on board junk.

Day 6: Halong Bay – Hanoi.

Wake up to fresh coffee and a wholesome breakfast before cruising back to Halong City. En route the junk weaves through strange-shaped rock formations that invite comparisons from fighting cocks to dragons. After another wonderful fresh seafood lunch (early) on board disembark at the dock at Halong City at around 11h00am. Transfer back to Hanoi.  Trip ends.

The 6-day tour is a combination of Sapa villages trek and Halong bay cruise tour. You meet up with different ethnic groups as you hike from village to village. Spending the night at local home (homestay) also offers a real life experience. The trek is a medium difficulty that is recommended to parents, children travelling in dry season. The overnight cruise tour to Halong bay is most beautiful in summer time when it is hot and sunny. The multi activity tour can be extended with other breaks such as spa package, homestay, Tam Coc sampan cruise tour, cooking class or rock climbing vacations.



Day 1: Overnight train to Lao Cai.

In the evening, transfer to Hanoi Railways Station to take the night train to Laocai. Departure at???. Overnight on the train.

Day 2: Arrive Lao Cai. Travel to Sapa. Trekking Sapa hilltribe villages (Tram Ton – Sin Chai).

Arrive Lao Cai Railway Station early this morning. You will be picked up by Lotussia Travel local team and transferred to Sapa.

Breaffast will be provided in a local restaurant in town.

Transfer to Silver Waterfall where you will be able to take a short walk to the waterfall. You will then drive further to Heaven Gate, the highest peak of roads in Vietnam. From there you can see Fansipan, the highest peak of Indochina mountains as well as enjoy stunning views. We start descending nearby the waterfall. The trail takes you all the way downhill through bamboo forest, which belongs to Hoang Lien National Park.

Your lunch will be served at a nice spot nearby a river.

After lunch, you continue the trek to Sin Chai village of Black Hmong minority, where Community Based Tourism in Sapa takes place. You will have opportunity to explore daily life of one of the largest group ethnic minorities in Sapa area.

Day 3: Continue hiking Sapa (Sin Chai – Cat Cat – Y Linh Ho)

After having breakfast, you start heading up the mountain. Once you get to the top, you will trek on a small trail with spectacular view and then gradually descend to Cat Cat village, where you will have lunch nearby a waterfall.

In the afternoon, you take a trail sneaking through mountain. You also will enjoy spectacular scenery while walking along a narrow river. Eventually you will arrive in Y Linh Ho village of Black Hmong minority, where you can take a rest in a nice spot nearby the beautiful river.

The night will be spent in a local house in Y Linh Ho village.

Day 4: Continue Sapa valley trek (Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van)

Today’s trek will continue along Hoang Lien mountain range, which offers you many opportunities to enjoy view over huge rice paddy terraces in Muong Hoa valley, the largest one in the area.

After lunch at a nice spot, you descend into the bottom of the valley. You will pass through Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority and then Tavan village of Giay minority by following a very popular trekking route. 

You spend the night in a traditional house of Giay minority. You will be able to take a walk to enjoy the valley view as well as swim in the river nearby.

Day 5: Trekking Ta Van – Su Pan. Return Sapa town. Travel to Lao Cai. Overnight train back to Hanoi.

Today’s trek is short, but still the landscape is beautiful. Once you get energy for your last day trek after having breakfast, you leave for Giang Ta Chai village where you can take a rest nearby a waterfall for lunch.

After passing trough the bamboo forest we will find a nice place to enjoy lunch. After lunch we continue towards Giang Ta Chai, a Red Dao ethnic minority village. After taking a rest nearby a waterfall to refresh, you start climbing uphill to a road where the car is ready for your journey back to Sapa, then down to Lao Cai Railways Station.

Take the night train back to Hanoi. Departure ??? Overnight on the train.

Day 6: Arrive Hanoi. Travel to Halong bay. Boat junk cruise and sea kayaking tour.

Arrive early this morning in Hanoi. You will be picked up again by Lotussia Travel guide, driver and transferred to a local restaurant in town for breakfast.

At 8:30, depart to Halong Bay. Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong and board the Bai Tho traditional sailing junk (or similar junk). Whilst cruising the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. Visit the recently discovered Surprise Grotto with its great views, and on the next island see the yawning mouth of Bo Nau Cave. Alternatively journey to Dau Go Cave and nearby see the famous stalagmites and stalactites of Thien Cung Cave. Enjoy a swim in the emerald waters of Halong Bay at any spot that you wish to visit (if weather permits). Watch the sun set over the bay whilst enjoying a delicious dinner.

Day 7: Halong bay – Hanoi.

Wake up to fresh coffee and a wholesome breakfast before cruising back to Halong City.

At 11:00, disembark at the dock at Halong City. Transfer back to Hanoi.
